There is a shortage of Canadian greenhouse bell peppers throughout the industry. Industry insiders say it is mainly due to fusarium causing a large amount of loss of pepper plants. The season will end earlier this year, due to disease, at the end of October-early November. Meanwhile, demand is steady for bell peppers.
